Description:

Begleiter comes from the German language meaning "companion." Designed for those who prefer a slim profile, the Begleiter delivers. The Begleiter 2 has a button lock mechanism for easy opening and ultra-safe closing. The handle is inset from the liners and keeps this knife incredibly lightweight and subtle in the pocket. It has an open-build with two barrel spacers on either side of the elongated lanyard hole. The EDC-ready design includes a reversible tip-up carry clip. A caged ball bearing pivot ensures a smooth and reliable action. The craftsmanship of the Kizer Begleiter is finished off completely by hand for sharpening, quality inspection, and is put to the test. Loving this right out of the box. The blade is thick and chunky with a perfect tanto and a rugged weathered black finish. The edge isn't super slicy (nor would one expect that from this type of blade) but plenty sharp and will tear into whatever you go after. I am really impressed with the handle too, it just feels super solid and thick enough for large hands. The micarta is smooth and soft, with just the right amount of grip, will look great as it ages I think. The blade just launches out into a solid lockup and then drop shuts perfectly. This is a bday gift for my dad and I can't wait to give it to him this weekend. Blade HQ did a beautiful job on the engraving too.
