Description:
The Kizer Begleiter flipper is a redesign of Kizer's budget model that features a full titanium handle with a standard blade made from CPM-S35VN. The blade displays a beautiful differential grind. It includes a milled titanium pocket clip for convenient everyday carry. Sometimes you might think you've seen every cool knife design. Then you'll put this in your hand and realize what you've been missing. It's time to level up your cutlery collection.
The fit and finish of this knife is beautiful. Blade is perfectly centered and the detent is absolutely perfect. The action on this knife is a real joy. While the flipper tab would benefit from some light jimping, I really can't complain. I love the grinds on the blade and the shape of the handle. Lock bar is easy to actuate. Overall a complete package.
Super lightweight considering the blade length. Super pointy and sharp blade tip. Great flipping action as long as you keep your finger off the lock bar. (I push my middle finger back to end of the pocket clip.) Feels great in hand. The titanium fished scales are surprisingly grippy. Blade seems longer than stated due long reach from back of the flipper tab when open.
I have the VG10 begleiter. Love it. Lesser grade steel. Bought this s35vn. Love the knife except: Frame lock. Frame lock makes it hard to flip and hard to close. If I could take this blade out and stick it in the $50.00 begleiter I would have the perfect knife. I do mean PERFECT. This thing is slim, razor sharp, lightweight, full length blade. It is just to slim to pull off the frame lock. Should have upgraded the older model with new blade. STILL it is worth the $150.00 I paid. I will carry it everyday for the foreseeable future.
