I've had a handful of kizer folders and they've been hit or miss. Some have been nice, others had a weak action, dull blade, etc. Kizer has always been a notch or two below ZT, WE, and Reate in my opinion for high end flipper/folders.

I've wanted a Darrel Ralph for a while so I was excited when I saw this was coming. This is best Kizer I've handled and they finally are competitive with other high end production companies.

The action is outstanding. The blade flies open with the flipper tab or the thumb stud and smoothly drops back into place when closing. I've had some other Kizers with weak or gritty action. Not here.

The machining on the handles is top notch and the clip is nice and secure. The blade was actually pretty sharp unlike my previous Kizer's.

Only negative is their decision to make it optional for tip up or tip down carry with the pocket clip. By doing this there's an ugly smooth spot that interferes with the nice machining on the clip side. Other than that, I'm thrilled with this one.
