This Barbosa model is outfitted with a black G-10 handle and a satin finished blade made from Bohler N690 steel. The Kizer Barbosa offers a sleek tactical design from acclaimed danish knife-maker Mikkel Williamson. Slim G-10 handles provide a lightweight, high performance grip with a stainless steel liner lock for dependable blade lock up. The blade flows naturally from the handle and features VG-10 steel for a strong blade that's easy to keep at peak sharpness. A deep carry pocket clip completes this solid tactical design.
Features:The action and feel of this knife exceeded all expectations. Of all of my collections, this knife is second only to my Kizer Mini Sheepdog in the smooth, consistent opening. Excellent, quality built, smooth functioning knife!
I really like the blade shape and the texture on the G-10 scales. The scales, liner and liner lock give the knife a sense of sturdiness. The action of the knife is very smooth. The only that could be better is that the otherwise good pocket clip is a bit of a hot spot for my hand.
It's good enough that I don't regret buying it on sale, but wouldn't be happy for full price. It's good steel, even at the full price It's a fair value. The ergonomics are what I'm not a fan of, but I also got pretty meaty hands. The pocket clip runs about half the length of the knife and ends right where my middle finger naturally goes when opening it, not the end of the world but definitely noticeable and if I'm in a bad mood it'd probably tick me off more because it's just annoying enough. The edges of the scales are beveled but still feel kind of like they aren't if that makes sense. The bevel isn't wide so it's not noticeable so it feels rectangular. I'll definitely put it in my rotation, and I'm not upset with buying it by any means, but if I was looking for *the* knife this wouldn't be it either.
