Description:
This Kizer Mini Sheepdog knife offers a more compact version of the cleaver design from Chris Conaway of Sheepdog Knives. A deeper finger choil has been added to the handle of this model. Its wide blade is made from 154CM stainless steel. The blade deploys effortlessly on a smooth ball bearing pivot, and locks up solid. A micarta handle provides a lightweight and durable build. This knife offers a remarkable combination of tactical functionality and a refined, stylish appearance.
For a small 5th pocket carry I would recommend it. If you have XL hands, Not recommended as an EDC.
Super good action and great for fidgeting
I got my 1st mini sheepdog from Kizer, this new version and, I love the thumb and middle finger flick, its pretty smooth and solid. The stonewashed finish of the blade looks awesome and the micarta, well, this is my 1st micarta, so I am getting used to the feel, however, the looks are beautiful. I recommend this knife, its blade length is 2.6, however side to side almost looks like my Spyderco Para 3's blade length. Kudos for KIZER, they have proven to be developing very good looking and great finish knives. This will not be my last Kizer I can assure.
Been trying to get my hands on a Mini Sheepdog with a thumb hole for a while now. Have seen numerous on the secondary market but never was able to get one. Finally Kizer has come through and I jumped on it. Love the finish on the blade, size and blade shape. My only negative would be the action. It's a little rough even after disassembling, cleaning and lubricating. Not what I am used to with Kizer products but all of them in the past have been full titanium versions. Can't wait till they release the Ti version with the thumb hole!
