In collaboration with Tom Stokes of Tomcat Knives, Kizer has produced a number of elegant, functional models and the River Cat is no exception. It has a compact size that bodes well with EDC users and the use of a ball-bearing pivot makes it delightful to deploy the modified clip point blade. The 6Al4V titanium handle is 3D machined with flared, wave-pattern grooves front and back. It has an open build, reversible pocket clip and elongated lanyard hole.

Very Impressive Folder

I've recently started collecting knives because as a senior citizen I need to do all I can to stay sharp. (Joke intended.)

For me, EDC knives are a practical choice, and though California is highly restrictive for firearms carry, its surprisingly liberal for most EDC knives. (Surprisingly liberal, not a joke.)

After buying some Kershaw EDC knives from BHQ, for Christmas I kicked my choice up a notch or two and bought the Kizer River Cat. After speaking with knowledgeable BHQ staff and watching some BHQ videos I was willing to give this China-made brand a shot. No regrets!

The quality is superb. It flips open as though on oiled ball bearings, is substantial in heft, has beautiful rainbow-anodized titanium handles, and slices and dices as though cardboard is soft butter.

I'll definitely keep my eyes open for future Kizer EDCs.
Ergonomically excellent!

This design is a standout. A medium sized knife that fits well in large hands. Very useable blade shape and is deployed equally well with the thumb studs or the flipper tab.
Name vs #'s

Glad to see Kizer is at least naming one of there selections as opposed to #Ki4456A2 as the nomenclature. Makes looking for new products from them impossible unless you happen to be Data from Star Trek.
