The Kizer Sheepdog has been a staple in the knife world for years now, notable from its iconic cleaver blade and comfortable handle. It makes a real statement every time it's drawn. It has a real look to it, but looks aren't everything. It's also a functional EDC knife that can slice like the best of them. It is one large hunk of beautiful steal that fit's just right in my large manly hands (Not meant for small feminine hands). It opens with a clunk that will get you noticed, and has a razor sharp edge. Kyle should stick with the Spiderco ladybug.
This thing is a absolute beast. Reminds me of a cold steel spartan. Great steel, great deploymant. Beefy beefy blade. despite its size and weight it carries low and discretely in the pocket with the deep pocket clip. You could use this think as a Nakiri on the go. I imagine its a great chopper. enjoying so far.
I have read other reviews say this is an uncomfortable knife to carry. I have to strongly disagree. It is a big knife and it has some heft to it but it is not uncomfortable to carry. I have carried it wearing dress slacks and you honestly don't know its there after awhile. If you bought this knife and were then surprised that it is heavier than your Benchmade Bugout then you didn't do your homework. The only reason I'm giving it 4 starts is because I wish they made it in a more premium steel in the XL.
This is a beautiful knife but it is by far the most uncomfortable knife I have ever handled and it is so far my most hated knife of the year.
