Meet the Cordovan folder from Klecker Knives. This knife utilizes the Klecker-Lock, which acts in a manner similar to a standard lockback, but the difference lies in the ingenious cutout of the stainless steel handle itself to create the integrated spring and locking mechanism without the need for additional components. It's simplicity at its best.

This knife has a gray matte finished stainless steel handle with layered G-10 inserts and brass hardware accents. The satin finished drop point blade has a modest recurved edge and a partial swedge. Includes a reversible right-hand carry pocket clip.

Truly Unique and Beautiful, Yet Flawed
Matt L. on Nov 12, 2019

Klecker Cordovan, First and foremost, the knife is gorgeous. Golden accents, beautiful satin blade, and wood looking G10 inlays....ultra classy. Can't stress this enough, the knife looks hecka pretty. Ergonomic grip, a good tip-up, deep carry pocket clip, and a fairly sharp blade right out of the box. Almost worth the price. It actually would be, if not for one near-fatal flaw. The action. Due to the undoubtedly unique and interesting locking mechanism, the blade encounters more and more friction resistance as the blade opens. Causing the blade to be quite easy to open at first...but then fairly difficult by the time the blade reaches the open position. Try as I may, without significant amounts of wrist flick, you are going to look pretty silly with your knife at half-mast. This is just heartbreaking. The Cordovan is inches away from a brilliant knife, and then you try to open it. Darn. Lube helps a little, and you get used to it after a while...but I can't help but think that the spur is a little...optimistic. Still strictly better than most lock backs, but I find that without the speed and practicality of a one-handed open and close, the Cordovan maybe just pocket eye candy, or worse yet, banished to the display case. Exceedingly beautiful knife just lacks the usability that characterizes my usual EDC. 83/100

Very Cool
Dylan S. on Jan 9, 2018

This is a very stylish knife that also performs very well. My only issue is that the knife does not deploy completely when using the flipper. Additional wrist movement is needed in order to fully deploy the blade. Otherwise, it came super sharp and it looks awesome.

Beautiful gentleman carry
Maxim P. on May 13, 2019

Beautiful, sturdy little knife. What I like the most about it are the clean lines, the unique design of the back lock and the grooves in two-colored G-10 inserts. Speaking of which, only the first of them make sense ergonomically. The others are just decorative, they are so narrow spaced as if they were designed for 2-year old hand. The knife is apparently not intended for all-day hard cutting. The edges on the handle are not smooth, they will give you blisters in half an hour. The flipper opens the knife only halfway. It took me some time to learn how to open and close it with one hand. When closing, make sure you are securing the lever on the blade with your index finger while pushing the lock release knob, or the blade will close on your fingers! It came sharp, but not super sharp. I could not get a clean cut on regular office paper. Well, let's find out, how sharpenable is Sandvik 12C27! All in all, it's a very lovable knife, I'm definitely going to keep it.
