The axe head is drop-forged 1060 steel hardened to RC 52-54 and the edge bevel is ground to resist deformation under extreme use. It will retain its edge, even after insane levels of abuse. It is extremely sharp for its included angle. However, it will not shave hair from your arm. The LaGana VTAC handle is made of "Super Tough" modified nylon and includes an ergonomic oval design with indexing finger grooves. A Jumpable nylon sheath protects the head when not in use.
