Linos Kydex Sheath for Microtech Ultratech Knife w/ Neck Cord

I like this sheath a lot. It's obviously a handmade custom molding job, but it's done well and functions properly. It grips both my Ultratech and UTX-85 perfectly with enough tension to hold it securely while allowing me to pull it out cleanly with a good yank. It works great as a neck lanyard, but I can see how it could also be used to secure it to a pack, belt, etc. The finished product has a paracord lanyard that is tied with a simple, loose overhand knot. So if you really want to use this as a neck lanyard I'd probably at least tie a stronger knot on the end if not replace the cord entirely. I believe they left it loose because they figured the end user is probably going to want to tie it to something else. All this is to say that the real value of this thing is in the molding job on the Kydex. The cord is inconsequential and easily replaceable. So basically not junk in my opinion. I'm very happy with this item. Carry on.
