The Mantis Encore Karambit knife features an M-vX steel blade and solid 420 stainless framelock handle. The hawkbill blade is an ideal shape for many activities, like cutting rope and fish line. The handle and blade are both bead blast finished for non-reflective qualities. The handle has a reversible clip that sits comfortably low in the pocket.

I've had this guy for years and it's a fine knife. The blade had gotten a bit loose, but I've been practicing with it for about 5 years and haven't needed to do too much to it. Twice I had to send it back to mantis because screws fell out of the spine and though it didn't make the knife shaky I did feel much more comfortable getting it reinforced. Mantis has a great warranty system and this is a good knife. It may not be as flashy as other karambits but I trust this knife.
This thing is a wispy little piece of fail. The lock failed on me I don't know how many times, and the knife is tiny — better suited for a girl .... but then again no girl is gonna want a knife with a fail-prone crappy lock like this either. Skip it. Mantis does make a few really good knives like the MT-8 Siko .... but this knife is one of their little turds. It would be great for a girl with tiny little hands .... if the lock wasn't worthless.
