This LUDT model has a green finished blade and an OD green anodized handle with green hardware.

The Microtech LUDT is back and better than ever! Notable changes to the LUDT automatic knife can be seen throughout, but the most prominent difference is the revised blade profile, with a notched thumb ramp and smooth crowned spine. New-school Tri-Angle hardware and a slick recessed pivot assembly add a fine touch, along with the addition of a hole for lanyard attachment.

Throwback style is seen in the milled grooves of the tapered 6061-T6 aluminum handle, which dates back to the early-2000 era models. The LUDT is what we deem "affordable excellence." It combines precision manufacturing, premium materials, and a timeless design.

A little over 20 years ago Anthony Marfione introduced the U.D.T. (Underwater Demolition Team), a compact automatic folder that was an instant hit among knife enthusiasts. The Large UDT, or LUDT, followed shortly thereafter and has been around intermittently ever since.

Light weight fast open great knife

This is my edc knife. Very reliable auto, very sharp and holds an edge, gets the job done and if something breaks Microtech will be helping me out!
Problem with the action
Shaun M.
I have had this knife for about 7 months, and I've really enjoyed it. The spring is strong and the blade came razor sharp. But a couple of issues have come up with the knife. 1. Paint is chipping. I know this is normal knife wear, but it did seem a little fast. And 2. the spring wont fire. Recently when I press the firing button, it won't press, as if there was something in the mechanism then the blade barely comes out. this is the second Microtech I've owned with a firing issue. I will be contacting MT as soon as snow and blizzards clear up.
