This Ultratech features a double edged dagger blade with a satin finish and a fully serrated top edge. It has a contoured, black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with bead blasted pocket clip, glass breaker, and stainless steel hardware.
Microtech equipped this version of the ever popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth, contoured handle design that promotes increased comfort during use. This updated model provides the same dimensions, hardware, and durability offered by the "Tri-Grip" variation, but goes easier on the hands and pockets.
For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the blade and retracts it as well. The Ultratech knife from Microtech has set the bar for all OTF knives.

This knife fulfilled and exceeded my expectations! The action is just what an OTF knife should have. Its solid and the blade does not wobble excessively. All OTF knives have a little play due to the mechanism but this one is very, very acceptable! It arrived sharp and in a nice padded and bagged package with full instructions. The feel of the knife and snappy action on both the in and out actions is what I really like. It is comfortable to hold and the trigger grips well on your thumb. I may buy another of these as a gift but for now I'm just looking for an appropriate occasion to give it. Previously, I purchased an OTF knife from another manufacturer at a higher price but it arrived dull and the fit and feel of the knife was horrible. I returned it. This knife restores my confidence in the quality of the products from BladeHQ.
Love the knife. the action is really snappy and is near impossible to create a misfire. Seems more reliable than most OTF's on the market, including the ones at a higher pricepoint.
This OTF is very well made, with nice fit and finish. It is made from very good materials with reliable deploying and retracting. The pocket clip is very secured and it is possible to use it as a kubotan, impact tool if you don't want to cut or stab some attacker.
