Having owned a series of fixed blades and folders, both high end and basic, this is my first Microtech…and it is impressive. I had high expectations for the price but they were all met, and some. Came razor sharp, has a beautiful action, fit and finish is top notch. I cannot attest for how it holds up over time and under hard use but had it out of the box for a few days now and it’s a truly wonderful knife and a great carry.
I'm very happy with the quality of this ultratech! The grind lines are almost perfect on mine. Love the steel and how it carries iwb appendix. Can't wait to carry it on duty!
My first Microtech, wanted the Magnacut, and glad I got it, razor sharp, great action. Overall superb. Will be adding more Microtech to my collection. Been carrying this one for about a week now, working great!

This is my first Microtech and I’m very impressed. Razor sharp out of the box, crisp action, feels great in the hand. I was on the fence after trying the shootout but am so glad I purchased this instead. So far I love the MagnaCut steel, have done a lot of slicing and the edge is still nice and sharp. Some people may not like it but the black and yellow look great together. Lots of complements all around. If you your thinking of getting just do so! Fantastic!
I just opened my Microtech box after running out to the mailbox this morning . I was totally amazed about how beautiful this knife is! The ads just don't do it justice. The bright yellow thumb slide along with the black aluminum handle really looks impressive! The action is very crisp and opens with authority. One of the reasons I bought this knife was it has a new steel called CPM Magnacut. It is a new offering to Microtechs ultracut series of OTF's and is a Blade HQ exclusive. My knife was received in three days time and also a had a cool rubber work mat included with a yellow Microtech talon on the face of the mat. I now own five Microtech OTFs. This one has impressed me the most so far! Thank you Blade HQ for having this knife available and as always, keep up the fine work in customer service and sales!
Knife looks amazing. Happy with the feel and the color combo. Only problem is the blade is very dull. For the money it should cut like a lightsaber. It did not. Highly disappointed. Wish it came sharper. Still a very pretty knife.
This is my first Microtech. I’ve been into knives for a few years now and have always wanted one after seeing dozens of great reviews. The action is awesome, the aesthetics are all there, magnacut is all the rage, but it has to be the dullest knife I’ve ever bought. Considering the price, I should be able to shave with it.
When a $350 knife arrives less sharp that a $60 akc f20.... There is a problem...
