Microtech + MagnaCut. A duo that's a cut above the rest! Exclusively at Blade HQ.
Like many knife enthusiasts, we are stoked about MagnaCut, a breakthrough blade steel composition that was formulated by the chief of Knife Steel Nerds, Larrin Thomas. It has an unmatched combination of toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. It is truly remarkable!
To harness this exceptional steel, Blade HQ has partnered with Microtech – a leader in innovative design and first-class craftsmanship – to bring you the MagnaCut Ultratech!
Setting itself apart from the standard Ultratech, this exclusive model has a distinct Flux Yellow firing thumb slide.

Description:
For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the blade and retracts it as well. The Ultratech knife from Microtech has set the bar for all OTF knives.

I’ve been collecting folding knives for a few years now, and OTFs were never really my jam, but recently decided to dip a toe into the pool. When I first unboxed it, honestly my first thought was that it’s not for me and that I’d return it, but decided I would give it a few days before I made a final decision. I’m glad I did. I put this knife under a microscope (not literally lol) looking for any excuse to send it back. These are my thoughts: On the blade, the symmetry of the black bevels and the satin flats is perfect. The edge bevel is even on both sides and in line with the tip of the dagger tip. The handle scales are flawless. The thumb slide was very tight to operate at first, especially closing the blade, but seems to be breaking in nicely after a couple of days. Overall, a beautiful design, and flawless execution. It’s a keeper!
This is my first Microtech. I had a Benchmade Infidel I also Just purchased new and the Infidel is now gone. The action is fast and tight. Very smooth but I will admit the switch was extremely difficult at first to retract. Abnormally difficult and I have some pretty daggon strong paws, but after a couple hundred cycles it has broken in and loosened up to a point where it is just right. Very good looking and very good fit and finish. Would recommend 100 percent. Has convinced me to purchase a combat troodon in the near future as well I am just holding out in hopes they introduce a Magnacut blade as well and then she is mine.
I love this knife! Been an avid knife collector and user for years. This is my first Microtech and I’m very impressed. It feels amazing in my XL hands, came razor sharp and the action fast and strong. Won’t be my last!
Is a awesome knife feels great I can’t imagine how it will look like or feel like My first ultratech feels amazing the blade deployment is crazy good I’ll be getting more Microtech stuff The only problem is that didn’t come sharp paper test fail ?
It’s a great knife. The first Microtech I’ve owned and certainly not the last. The blade came super sharp and the action is strong and quick. If your new to Microtech the action takes a little getting use to at first but after playing with it for about a day or 2 it’s fine now. Would have been a 5 star review, but they didn’t send me the mat you’re supposed to get with these Magna cut Microtechs which was a little disappointing.
