Morakniv Basic 511 Fixed Blade Knife Black/Blue (3.5" Satin)

I got this knife as a “spend x, get this knife for free” promo. I very much didn’t think I would like a fixed blade knife as much as this one. I was pleasantly surprised on how much I like it. The handle, blade, weight, feel, everything just feels right. Only complaint is that it doesn’t stay in the sheath very well and I’m hesitant that it might fall out if slightly jolted. This is definitely going into my outdoor knife rotation, would be nice to bring kayak fishing, camping, or just hiking.

I received this from BHQ as a Holiday Promo.. Thanks for the Fun Gift BHQ! I almost hate to review it. (Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!) It's a great knife for the cost. The blade is pointy sharp. The cutting edge is hair-shaving sharp. The ergo.s are excellent. The spine is unfinished. Light-weight. Teensy scratch on the blade. Handle can be a bit slippery with sweaty hands. Top-notch beater knife.
