The Duku Chandong Parang is a sizable tool, built for chopping. My Parang machetes have hammered 5160 high carbon steel blades with stick tangs that are fitted with large, comfortably contoured beech wood handles. Reinforcing the tang and handle is a brass pin and industrial strength epoxy along with a polished copper collar. MyParang knives are crafted to ensure longevity and safe function when used properly. Includes a heavy-duty nylon sheath.

MyParang blades are sourced from Bidor, Perak, world-renowned for their differentially hand-hardened 5160 steel. Eco-friendly wood for the handle is imported from Croatia. These cutting tools are the real deal, made by hand in Malaysia.

Excellent Workhorse
Stephen A.
This Duku is top quality and incredibly rugged. I have had this for a week and have cut down and de-limbed 25 8 inch diameter beech trees to build a log shelter in the woods for hunting. I have also taken down 4 inch diameter sweet gum trees and pine trees. This blade takes the pine and sweet gums down is less than 2 minutes, the beech trees take around 5 minutes. After all this the blade has no play whatsoever, I have sharpened it after each use with Bark River clays and a leather strop. This is not a full tang, but my Condor is. I also have a Condor Mini Duku and have put that away due to the fact that the MYParang Duku is better balance and a lighter therefore it takes much longer before I get tired. I ditched the Codura sheath and had a local Amish leatherman make a custom sheath with a matching belt. You will not be disappointed if you make this purchase.
