The S30R Baton III is the 3rd generation of the popular Olight S30R Baton. With brighter output and longer runtimes, you'll see why Olight has a reputation for constantly improving their technology. These upgrades are housed in a shorter and lighter body for more everyday carry comfort. This rechargeable model includes a USB desktop dock for quick and easy recharging.

Like the original, there are a total of five different power settings and a strobe mode, giving you the variable lighting options you need to take on any task. Includes a powerful 18650 3500 mAh battery for up to 100 days of runtime off of a single charge in firefly mode. And with its included compact Micro-USB charging dock (Micro-Dock), you donít have to worry about bulky chargers or special cables. Plus, you can charge your mobile device via the USB port at the same time as charging your light through the Micro-USB port. The S30RIII also features a power indicator located on the side switch, which will glow red when your battery power is low. With itís dual purpose magnetic tailcap, you can use the S30R as a hands-free convenient work light, and attach it securely to the included charging base.

Very bright small learning curve
Jake C.
This is an early review and I'll try and remember to update it. This light rides in the pocket really nicely, and feels solid in hand. Having all the different modes is extremely handy and I find myself using moonlight more than I thought. I'm replacing a Leatherman Serac S3 which still works after 6+ years but just isn't bright enough for my needs at 100 lumens.

Only case where I wouldn't recommend the light is if you've trained extensively with a tail switch.

Major Con:
-They aren't kidding about the runtime for max output. Mess around with the higher outputs and it will turn off on you without much warning.
Great edc light

I bought this flashlight when I started working out on a farm and was pulling some really late hours, and our generator would often die, leaving us with out light. This throws a nice beam, and the magnet cap was a nice feature when I needed to use two hands to fix something. I highly recommend this flshlight to anyone looking for a all around good light.
Great EDC Light

This is a great light. I carry it with me everywhere. The magnetic base is very useful while working on my car in the dark it just sticks to the underside of the hood. I bought it mostly for how bright it was but I found I was surprised by how much I liked the moonlight mode. It's super useful when trying to not wake up family members in the morning when getting ready to go to work. I wish the pocket clip would allow for carrying the flashlight with the bulb down since that's how I like to carry my folding knives (tip down) but I can't complain. The light is to good to let something simple like that ruin it for me. Great light for edc and mechanics alike.
Excellent for Bug out bag or EDC use.

The size, weight, and capabilities for this light are second to none. Good run times and battery options make this a win.
Great EDC/Nightstand Light

Size for this model might not appeal to everyone for EDC, but the size of this one fits the whole hand perfectly. Side rubber button has a great interface for immediate access to low, high, strobe, and everything in between. Base cap of the light doubles as magnet and recharging dock. The dock itself is nice and small with suction cups on the bottom to stick to your nightstand, securing and charging your flashlight overnight, with Micro USB in, and another standard USB out so it doesn't hog an outlet slot. And even if the 18650 runs out of battery in between charges, you can place in two spare CR123's to fit in place. This light will fill any role you want it to.
