The 22" Military Machete has been manufactured for over 60 years under US Government specs, now you can get your own! It has a thicker blade than the Econo version, so it's a bit more hefty and resistant to abuse, making it an excellent choice for campers, hunters, landscapers and many others. The black 1095 steel blade is zinc phosphor coated and has a flat ground edge. The black plastic handle is tough and sized for solid grip.

My great aunt(god rest her soul) bought me one of these from the army navy store before she died for the same price as on here.....and it's heavy..... Mine didn't come with an edge on it, so it took years of inexperienced grinders, dremmellers, and whetstoners to finally put an edge(sharp now) on it. This thing belongs to Jason Vorhees...swinging it can be a task....mine came with a canvas sheath which isn't ideal but it's better than nothing.
