Ontario Knife Company Air Force One

Built for demanding field use, the Ontario Knife Co. Air Force One Survival Knife is a rugged fixed blade designed to perform when conditions are at their worst. Inspired by classic military survival knives, it combines proven materials with a functional design that excels in outdoor and emergency situations.

At the heart of the knife is a heavy duty bowie-style blade crafted from high carbon steel. Carbon steel is widely trusted for hard use outdoor knives because of its excellent toughness and edge retention. It can take a very sharp edge and maintain it through demanding tasks such as chopping, carving, and batoning wood. Another advantage in survival situations is that carbon steel is easy to resharpen in the field using simple tools like stones or improvised sharpeners. This means the blade can be brought back to working condition even when professional sharpening equipment is unavailable.

The sawtooth spine adds additional utility, giving the user the ability to cut through fibrous materials, small branches, or cordage when a traditional edge is not the best option. A solid steel guard helps protect the user’s hand during hard thrusts and heavy cutting, while the steel pommel at the base of the handle can be used for light hammering tasks in the field.

The handle features a traditional stacked leather construction that offers both durability and comfort. Leather washers create a naturally grippy surface that becomes even more secure in the hand with use, while also helping to absorb shock during heavy work.

A rugged leather sheath completes the package, keeping the knife secure and readily accessible while protecting both the blade and the user during carry.

Strong, dependable, and built with classic materials, the Ontario Knife Co. Air Force One Survival Knife is a capable companion for survival kits, camping gear, and serious outdoor use.
