When designing the Godfather automatic knife, Pro-Tech took inspiration from the classic Italian stiletto, but added a modern twist. It has a stronger build with contemporary materials and simplified shapes, delivering more cutting power and the same “wow” factor as its inspiration. It uses a coil spring for impressive push button action that never grows old, and its quality, fit, and finish are exceptional. Honor the past while looking to the future with this classically inspired, American-made automatic knife.
The Pro-Tech Godfather automatic knife is available in an array of handle materials and colors and blade finishes. Take a look at what else we have to offer!
I just got this knife today. Something I haven't read about this knife is that it has the best pocket clip of any knife I own. You know how it is when you have a great knife but it's so difficult go get into or out of your pocket. This is not one of those knives. It's a great knife that has a clip that slides in easy and all you have to do to get if out is grip the end of it between your thumb and forefinger and it slides right out. Another thing I love about it is the finish. It is an absolute flat black. Not shiny at all. And even though it is smooth it still feels very grippy. Another thing I like is that it doesn't have a safety. It does not need one because the button is sufficiently recessed to prevent an accidental opening while in your pocket. I hope this helps someone who is trying to decide on his purchase.
I decided to buy the Protech Godfather as a Christmas present to me from me. I really like satin blades, so I ordered the black scales and plain satin blade. The BladeHQ service was top-notch. I had a couple of questions that I asked on line, and had answers within two hours. I ordered the knife and, using regular shipping had the knife five days later, including the Christmas holiday almost all the way across the country. It was impressive. When I opened the green Protech box, I was equally impressed. The satin finish on the blade is superbly done and flawless. The grinds are symmetrical, the blade is perfectly centered with no play in either direction. The Protech action isn't over-hyped - it fires hard. There's no grittiness or sloppiness in the trigger. All in all, a terrific knife supported by terrific service by the pros at BladeHQ. Everyone needs to have a Godfather in their collection. It's a classic. Just be sure to get it from BladeHQ. They stand behind the sale and will help with any issues you might have. Likely, you'll not have any.
