I own Kershaws, Benchmades, a Microtech, a Hubertus, Bokers . . . A lot of automatic knives. I think this Pro-tech might be the best quality of all of them.
This is my first Protech to have ever purchased and I cannot say enough just how happy and satisfied I am with the pure quality this knife possesses! This knife has a very nice strong coil spring under the blade that makes it fly out with much force and authority. The fit, finish, and operation of this knife is a true testament to great American craftsmanship at its very best!! I would highly recommend Protech and this particular model the Newport to anyone looking for a very top end automatic. The blade is very tight with little to no blade play whatsoever!! I was unable to purchase this knife from BladeHQ due to the fact they were out of stock but I will always highly recommend BladeHQ to anyone looking for a top quality automatic knife especially in the Protech or Microtech line! These guys know how to treat their customers right!!
Super snappy and razor sharp out of the box! Really can't beat a protech auto.
I am very glad that I purchased this knife. To me it is a great gentleman’s knife. I carry it when I’m in a suit or dressed nicely. It is razor sharp with a needle sharp point allowing you to get into small places and to make fine cuts. I like it so much I’m saving up for a fancier custom looking Newport so I can “put on airs” when I pull it out among my peers. If you want a slightly smaller knife you can’t go wrong with this one!
