The QSP Parrot is a simple, mid-sized folding knife that's great for everyday carry. It has a 440C stainless steel blade in a spear point style and a clean handle with a shallow finger hollow. It opens quick and easy with the dual thumb studs, and locks reliably with the liner lock. Sometimes you don't need anything fancy. The Parrot is people looking for a quality pocket knife that is just enough.

The blade came well centered and extremely sharp. The blade shape itself is a good all purpose design with a full flat grind. The pivot runs on brass and teflon washers. I replaced those with some phosphor bronze washers I had on hand (around $1 for the pair) and along with a cleaning/lube that improved the already good flipping action of this knife. After a week of playing with it, it flicks open silky smooth. Overall this is a huge bargain and any of the Parrots would make excellent Christmas gifts for non-knife-snob friends. They're inexpensive (the G10 version even cheaper), come in several colors, are immanently useful and probably unexpected.
I got the red linen micarta version. Knife is on the smaller side but still feels very good in the hand. The blade is nice and sharp and correctly centered. Pivot was too tight for my preferences but when I loosened it blade centering went haywire. After a bit of mucking around I reached an acceptable compromise. However the finishing on the thumb-studs is subpar. The edges of the stepped design are very sharp. I'm going to attempt removing them and knocking off the edges with sandpaper.
