Great knife for situations where subtly is required. Slim, light, nice looking, but sharp and ready to deploy in a flip. The front flipper a harder for me to use than a back flipper, but I am finally getting the hang of it. The stainless steel liner is thin but the lockup is solid and feels firm. The carbon fiber scales are also very rigid which give the knife a solid feel in the hand. And while it looks nice, this is not a flimsy or dainty knife. This was a good purchase and if you are looking for a slim, low profile carrier, this is a good choice.
The front flipper tab is smooth and really nice to use with a thumb or index finger. The Marbled carbon fiber really gives this thing quality; the blade steel also gives me a smile. The blue oxidized hardware also makes this knife an eye looker. The knife is slim and very nice to carry in an office environment because all the materials give the knife a more pristine feeling.
This is my 4th Metamorph. I prefer this size over the slightly larger 3.5 inch version. The M390 steel is excellent and the improved top flipper tab design is superior to the previous design. It is much easier to snap open the blade. The blade is thin and a great slicer. The screws securing the deep pocket clip are reassessed completely flush for smooth insertion and removal. I can't understand why most brands including some of the big ones don't have this kind of attention to detail.
Bought this knife recently and am quite happy with it. Have had no real issues with it besides it needing to be broken in a bit and the jimping on the lock is a little sharp for my liking but otherwise a solid little knife. Mostly use it for light work like breaking down boxes and whatnot so not sure how it would hold up for anything past that though. If you are a fan of the full size Metamorph or slim front flippers in general I'm sure you would be happy with this knife as well!
