The Real Steel Bushcraft fixed blade was created for outdoor adventurers living in the bush. It features a blade made from D2 tool steel with a traditional scandi grind that is sharp, durable and easy to resharpen. The handle is rounded for comfortable use and features smooth coyote brown G-10 with red liners and a barrel pin lanyard hole. Includes Kydex sheath with belt attachment. The Realsteel Bushcraft offers a heavy duty design that is ideal for camping, survival and general outdoor use.
All around great knife. I use it as my belt knife when im camping or hiking. I live in Canada and despite this knife being D2 I haven't had any rust problems. Scandi grind takes an awesome edge and is super easy to sharpen. Ergonomics are great. This is a knife you can trust.
First off, who's running the marketing program in Real Steel? why does nobody know about these guys? Someone needs to get fired. The presentation of this little baddie is impeccable. A beautiful box comes with a cheapo tech lock that is cross draw only, not bad as this is a good way to hold a blade when backpacking. a polishing cloth, an information sheet giving exacta details about the knife. Tight Kydex sheath. A+ Now the blade... The handle feels a little slick for a camp knife but I have yet to use it (dead of winter atm, update march maybe). The grind is a zero bevel scandi, very impressive. What can I say? A good steel scandi that seems to put the Mora Garberg in it's place for half the price. yeah, this is a winner.
This is a very nice knife. It could easily be worth twice as much in my opinion. D2 is not a steel you usually see in knives of this price point. It also came extremely sharp, I didn't feel the need to even strop it. Honestly I was expecting to receive this knife and be able to point out all the reasons why it was under $50...but that didn't happen. I am very impressed by the quality control. The sheath is not bad either, it's a little on the thin side but works just fine. I may report back when I have truly put this knife to the test but so far I really like it.
Absolutely beautiful knife. Finish is unbelievable. Blade grind was hair splitting sharp. D2 blade steel is in my opinion a great mid grade steel that is found in much higher priced knives. The sheath has great retention and you can depend on a reliable snap as the blade seats tightly. There is a secondary belt clip that comes with hardware to attach to the sheath in a number of ways. Well packaged and very well executed for the money. I am buying this same knife in the black version to beat on and keep this coyote version to gawk at.
It's hard to beat this much D2 steel for $44. The fit and finish are lovely.
