This Twitch II LT model has hard anodized aluminum handles with a stonewash finish. The 4034 stainless steel blade has a plain edge and a satin finish. This is an excellent everyday carry knife, best of all it won't break the bank.
The SOG Twitch II LT is a sleek spring assisted knife that utilizes the SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.). This mechanism is activated using the built in kick/flipper or dual thumb studs. The pass-through lock bar securely locks the blade open. A safety slide on the spine either locks the blade closed or can double lock the blade open.
Can't find a more satisfying flipper at the price. And it's built like a tank.
I bought this here on Blade HQ just because it was a flipper and was cheap. I'm pleasantly surprised at how solid this little knife feels. It's small and disappears in my pocket (either clipped or loose carry). It's thin enough, short enough and skinny enough that it doesn't interfere with getting into my pocket for my phone. The opening was a little stiff at first. But a little lube and couple of hours of flipping it and closing it (while growing Blade HQ for my next knife) has loosened it up so that it flips open and locks up easily. For the price, I think this is a great buy.
I bought this knife because I love lockbacks and there are not many flipper lockbacks designs on the market. I hate to say that this knife was disappointing in that way. The assist is too weak to deploy the knife from the flipper, even with the pivot loosened it still would not fully open. It would get about half way then stop. I thought about returning it to SOG but I didn't really feel like dealing with the post office since it was around Christmas when I got it; also, I love the blade and it is a great pure cutting tool. So I decided to remove the assist and just run it as a manual. It is a little difficult to open still but no worse than with the assist which made it hard to close too. Also there is a lot of vertical blade play.
