Most Impressive!
Rory P. on Sep 26, 2018

Honestly, I want expecting a whole lot from a knife the size of a pencil. But, in this case, the old saying “dynamite comes in small packages” is truly appropriate! This thing is very impressive. We’ll build, sturdy, tough, sharp, super tight tolerances! It flies open so fast you’d swear it’s an auto, blade shape and size is perfect. Sharp out of the box. This thing is so small, I can’t figure out how they build it so heavy duty! I’m very happy with my first Southern Grind purchase! More to come!!

How do you know a knife is special?

When you have a collection of 120+ knives and you’re so damned impressed with it, you put it in your pocket right out of the box, instead of on ‘the pile’ of knives that need to be added to inventory. Build and finish is something to be admired and it’s diminutive size make it appropriate in any situation. A Gentleman’s Knife that likes it rough. If I have one reservation, it would be that the price kind of begs for a higher-end blade steel (ex: Elmax, CPM, VG, etc.). But from my experience, 14C28N should do just fine and will be easier to strop back to razor sharp.
