A Nice Surprise
Hugh D.
This knife really didn't stand out to me when it was first announced. Nevertheless I fell in love when I got it in hand and after I cleaned up the internals after it broke in, it became glass smooth. The knife also came with a really sharp edge, super thin behind the edge and superb fit and finish. the ergos are great for my relatively small hands and the lack of jimping never really showed it's self as a problem. I do wish the steel was lc200n like the SpydieChef or CTS-XPH but S30v is still a great steel. also a bit of the blade has the possibility to hit your fingers due to the fact that it's designed to be level with the choil. I say if you're debating whether or not you want it, i say do it.
Great Knife

Was originally looking for a SpydieChef but I got this one kind of a whim and man am I happy with it! It slices like no other knife I have. Fit and finish is pretty spot on. It doesn't drop shut like my PM2 but it is still buttery smooth and a great fidget knife. It feels great in my hand, not too chunky and not too slim. I love the Spyderco wire clip and think it fits this knife really well. The red back spacer adds a nice pop of red. Overall I'm very happy with this one and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great EDC knife!
Just Shy of Greatness

This knife is a phenomenal slicer with elegant good looks. However it is not quite perfect, falling a bit short on the fit and finish front. Though the CF scales look great, they have sharp edges on the lanyard hole, screw countersinks and grooves for the clips. The machined flukes on the pivot screws also have burrs. The action is OK but not quite as smooth as my other Spyderco Taichung compression lock knife, a Caribbean. The blade is beyond reproach. It has a slight outward curve that might complicate sharpening, but I imagine that this curve adds a bit to the blade's slicing magic.
