The Mamba is a tactical fighting knife from the legendary Walter Brend and knife designer Joel Pirela. It's a knife that exudes a strong will and a captivating style.

Spyderco's Mamba flipper has a two-tone finished, hollow ground blade with an upswept tip. The grinds are black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coated while the flats are satin finished. To match the substance of the blade, the Mamba has thick, skeletonized titanium liners with a Walker LinerLock tab. Precision machined solid twill carbon fiber scales are visually rich and accommodate proper in-hand comfort. The Mamba is outfitted with a smooth ball-bearing enhanced pivot and tip-up carry pocket clip.

So much character
Nic G.
This is the knife I bought to be my only-for-show knife. There is so much character/style in this knife, it is absolutely beautiful.

With that being said, this knife ia very bulky for an EDC. But that just adds to the character for me.
My new edc

I use my knives, I am not a collector. I have to say this is an excellent knife. I'm extremely picky about how secure the grip is. A lot of folding knives have handles that will let your hand slide up onto the blade easily but not with this blade. The flipper and the shape of the handle make it extremely unlikely except in the most extreme circumstance. The fit and finish is wonderful. The handle is full and fills the hand nicely. The blade is the right length for utility work I like a 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 inch blade on my knives. I plan to buy a second copy of this knife soon. Just a tip if you ever find a knife you absolutely love and you can afford to buy a second, then if something happens to your knife you have a backup.
Favorite Spyderco

I love this knife. It is easily my favorite Spyderco, I guess that's why I don't EDC it. It is a work of art. It flips so smooth and anyone who sees it loves this knife. It is a little pricey, but well worth it.
Sexy sharp and solid

Love this knife! The blade is mercilessly sharp. Looks like a double hollow grind to me. Great slicer and stabber. Made very precisely. Flipper is smooth and useful, and the spider hole flicks with the thumb or you can do the ol' flick from the opposite side too.

Would love a little more grippiness in the handle texture. Handle shape is ergonomic and feels good but a bit too smooth. Overall a sexy, well built knife worth the price.
Looks Sharp, Is Sharp

All new knives are sharp out of the box, but they spent some extra time getting this one sharper than any knife I own. It's right up there with the Rockstead knives that cost five times as much. Most would get this for it's looks and it does look great. I love carbon fiber but I wish they did a better job with the edges of the handle, they are almost sharp, not a great feel like one would expect from these rounded designed scales. It is made from excellent materials and put together well. The price is very good for what you are getting here. It's light for the size because of the carbon fiber handles. Not an EDC but looks great in the collection. I'm keeping it for now but this style is not my style really, it's the only crazy designed knife I have and will probably be the last. I go more for useful blades but this one is fun and a good buy if you like this style. Very well built.
Very well made

Definitely not for everyday carry, its pretty dang huge and a little on the heavy side. When it is in my pocket the handle seems to curve outward so I can still manage to get my keys out of that pocket without any issues. Very nice piece to add to a collection.
