This knife was my first Spyderco and after purchasing several others including the para 3 and a spydiechef it is still my favorite. I was drawn to it because of the blade shape and the story originally. It's a smooth knife with a great ergonomic handle plus it looks like a beast!
Great ergos

I rarely ever spend over $100 on a knife but after seeing reviews of this knife I had to have it. It is a great flipper knife and I love the blade shape. The only downside is the flipper tab does get in the way of the compression lock so you will have to move your finger out of the way as the knife closes. But once you get used to it, it is not a problem at all.

The weight, balance and feel in the hand is perfect. This knife is a bit large but I absolutely love it. Iíve caught a few glimpses from people when our in public when I had to cut a bracelet off my 3 year oldís wrist and a few other times I canít recall at this moment.

I really like the smooth opening action.
The Spyderco I've been waiting for.

No... it's not the best flipper, that category is reserved for WE and ZT.

Regardless, if I could only have one Spyderco, it would be this one.

Size/weight ratio combined with overall quality materials, blade shape/usefulness and fabrication tolerances are excellent.

IMO this took 1st place away from the para-military which is now 2nd. I just prefer large folders with low weight and slim profiles.

A bargain at $175.00.
