Spyderco Perrin PPT Folding Knife Black Corrugated G-10 (3.16" Black) C135GBBKP

This tactical black TiCN coated Perrin PPT is a 2015 Sprint Run.

The Perrin PPT folder is named in honor of its three designers; Fred Perrin, Philippe Perotti and Sacha Thiel. This knife has a shape and feel that is reminiscent of Perrin designs. Its lock is a crossbreed annexing components of both Michael Walkers LinerLock® and Chris Reeves Reeve Integral Lock. It functions as a frame-lock but a black G-10 scale overlaying the lock makes it appear closer to a LinerLock. The scales are milled with corrugated creases for skid-free and ergonomic handling. Its full-flat ground CPM-S30V steel blade is a modified-Wharncliffe profile with a finger choil and spine jimping and a tapered spine-swedge. Reversible deep-carry pocket clip and handle lanyard open the door for endless attachment options.

Great knife
Rob A. on Mar 25, 2016

I've had this knife for 3 months now and it's one of my favorites. Like most people on this website, I have many knives (ranging from 120$ - 350$). Mine are laid out on my dresser and I chose one to carry every morning. I find myself choosing this knife very often. In fact it's probably quite disproportional how much the PPT gets over some of my other knives. The steel is good, the coating is good, it feels great in the hand. It rides awesome in the pocket, it's not heavy. I love the lock up on it. Very easy to open and close one handed. I think we can all agree that knives are a personal choice. For me this is a great knife and I would recommend this to anyone.

Perrin Prescense

I own many Spidies. I can definitely attest to this knife as being so underrated! The length is as long as a Delica, which is great. Do not let the 5.2 oz. weight fool you. It is not a heavy knife. The weight is balanced and evenly distributed. Great purchase on the knife handle. The finger choil is perfect for getting a good hold on this baby. Jimping on top is distributed further on the top of the spine of the blade for even a greater purchase of the knife. The gold\black lanyard comes with the knife. Liner lock is good for one handed openings. It has a SOG like-deep carry clip-that reaches to the butt of the knife. Very nice! I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend it highly.

Not my favorite Spyderco.

This knife is OK. I would much rather spend the money on another PM2, Manix XL, Yojimbo or Domino. For the price you can get much better, lighter and more comfortable Spyderco's. 3.5/5 - Owned it for almost a year carried it twice.
