replaced my edc by accident
nik a.
i collect knifes that look great open and closed, and this knife really looks great. i will always edc the knifes i collect for at-least a week to get the feel and to see if i will put it in the rotation of edc's. not may do but this guy won the award. the deceivingly large blade plus comfortable feel in the hand won me over. im not a big fan of wire pocket clips but the knife is so light the wire clip is plenty to keep it in place and the deep carry is appreciated. the Carbon Fiber, G-10 has a really great texture and makes it easy to get out of the pocket. its easy to deploy and close one handed. great edc great price 100% recommend
The Perfect Match
Andrew W.
The combo of compression lock, wire clip, and flipper make for one great knife. If you like the Paramilitary 2 this is a great addition to your collection. The bearing system is smooth, centering is perfect, and came shaving sharp out of the box. My first Taiwan made Spyderco, and fit and finish is as good or better than the Colorado offerings. The blade angle isn't for everyone (swoops down) but I think it works well in this design.

I appreciate different styles and shapes in handles. This one is unique, very impressed. Blade hq has become my only place to get my knives quick and exactly what I want.
Mine was Great

The action on mine is awesome! After it wore in, it deploys 100% of the with the flipper. The weight and clip also make it so that it hides in the pocket nicely
Near Perfect Form & Function
Liam G.
People like to complain about the flipper, but they really miss a lot of great things on this piece. Its form factor and design rivals the Benchmade 940!

While this may not have as many grip options as the 940, this packs a TON of blade in a very elegant package. You can flick it, flip it, or snap with the compression lock. If you go into the engineering behind the knife by Paul Alexander, it's superb. It contains an added stop pin in the compression lock, ball bearings nested into bronze washers, and an awesome negative blade angle.

This is a masterpiece. People complain about the detent, but I don't see any problems flicking it open. This is sophisticated, and engineered tool with multiple opening options... not a toy!

Overall, good steel, G10, compression lock, negative blade angle, flipper, and deep carry wire clip! Taichung perfection! Worth a hundred sprint runs.
A new level of refinement for Spyderco
Charles L.
Very well done! I pre-ordered this simply based on the concept. This can always be risky as one really should handle a knife before purchasing but I trust Spyderco. I've carried this 4-5 days out of every week over the last few months. It checks all the boxes: ergos, ball bearing pivot, flipper, high strength and convenient lock, superb slicer, great materials, and exemplary fit and finish. I gave it the "spa" treatment about two weeks in and the action is very good now. Not the snappiest detent but I get why. Spyderco wanted a knife that would flip and be a Spydie-hole opener too. I feel they struck a perfect balance. This would be appropriate for light to medium duty EDC tasks and could also rock as a large gentlemen's flipper. For reference I wear XL gloves
Lightweight Greatness
Matthew G.
I knew I wanted one as soon as I saw the concept. I waited patiently for it to become available and in no way was I disappointed. Scooped one up The minute it was in stock.

This is just a great knife. Exceedingly lightweight, it's like carrying nothing until you need it. The arching forward/dropping blade to handle profile is very easy and instinctive to cut with.

I put mine on the Sharpmaker and achieved hair shaving sharpness from the S30V steel.

For $150 it's awesome, go buy one. Do not hesitate. You won't regret it.
Flipper AND Compression Lock!
Graham D.
Thank you Spyderco! You've finally made a flipper with a compression lock!

I LOVE flippers - opening with a thumb stud or nail nick hurts my thumb due to an injury. And the compression lock keeps my fingers safely out of the blade path when closing.

The ergonomics are excellent and fit my medium-large hands well. (I'm on the lower end of a large glove size).

The flipping action is 8/10 but I think it'll improve as I flip it more.

Love the standoffs instead of a back spacer. The Carbon Fiber scales are just grippy enough and it doesn't look cheap like a lot of the peel ply CF knives that Spyderco has produced.

Worth every penny!
