Poor detent
Vincenzo N.
This is a awesome knife. The blade is gorgeous especially With the amazing recurve blade. They where spot on with the fit meant of the materials. But the detent was so weak that i really couldnít flip it open. So this was the second knife I sent back in probably about 4 years of collecting.
Total shame

First off Iím an avid collector of knives. From everything from the $10 junkers to the high end full customs. I waited much like most everyone else for the release of this beauty. Make no mistake, sheís beautiful. Fit and finish is dead on. Action (if and when you could get it to flip) was as smooth as glass. Letís talk detent, or lack of a detent. With just the lightest of pressure in the tab the blade would deploy. Sometimes even thinking of trying to flip it would make the blade come out. Towards the end of my time with this knife the detent become so light that the blade would at times pop out on its own. This is the very first time in all the years of collecting Iíve returned a knife. I wanted to love it, ended up hating it and unable to justify keeping no matter how hard I wanted to keep it. Until Spyderco fixes this massive issue on an otherwise beautifuly made knife, stay far far away from it. The reviews online are as bad as they say. Donít believe the hype :(
A revelation

Opening with a single motion and closing with an even slicker single motion, this frictionless pivot-equipped, titanium-framed, compression-locked powerhouse is a model of clever engineering and form that artistically follows function. The Hanan exudes quality, the blade's mirror finish a perfect complement to the titanium bolster. If only all things were made this well. It was worth waiting a year and a half.
