The mid-sized Spyderco Tenacious C122GP has a satin finished blade with a plain edge and a black G-10 laminate handle, milled with prolonged fatigue-free cutting in mind. Tucked inside are skeletonized steel liners increasing the handleís rigidity and strength without adding non-functioning weight or bulky thickness. The 8Cr13Mov stainless blade is leaf-shaped and ground flat from spine to cutting edge for cutting performance. The bladeís shape coupled with an over sized Spyderco Round Hole and textured spine jimping allow you to open the blade and position your thumb on the spine in slip-proof confidence ready for work. A Walker Linerlock (with jimped liner) and a 4-way pocket clip lets you set your carry and draw preference: Tip-up/tip-down left-hand/right-hand. Screw together construction.

Its good compared to other Chinese made knives, but...
Matthew B.
At first i wasn't too impressed. I wasn't expecting much, but compared to the rat model 1, its short comings were starting to show. The blade came uncentered, the pivot screw kept coming loose, there is a squeak sound when you open and close the blade, and the blade seriously plays when you barre down on what you are cutting. But after taking it apart, cleaning it and applying locktight, it started to grow on me. Its a good starting spyderco, nice and sharp, good blade shape and the g10 makes it feel nicer than other budget knives. But its not quite to the spyderco quality control level as their other factory made knives, Ontario's Taiwan knives are even at a higher quality control standard than these, that is for sure.

great edc but after 6 months of everyday use it has not held up well
My first spyderco

I personally think this is the best knife you can buy for under $50. After using this night I canít wait to purchase my para 3. Good edge for the steel your working with, g10 is stellar.
Love it

This is such a good knife for what you pay it's easily comparable to your 80 or 100 dollar knives. I have two actually lol. Very durable blade for everyday use.
Good idea If you wanna see if a PM2 is for you

I decided to buy this knife with the objective of seing if the siza and blade shape were good for a daily basis EDC, i bought it because of the similarity in shape, length and size of the PM2 and I cam say that being only 50 bucks is a bargain, excelent first Spyderco amd first EDC
Great value for $45

Definitely worth the price, and higher quality than almost all other knives of the same price.
It isn't perfect though, there is noticeable blade play right out of the box, and the steel is lower quality than most other Spydercos.
Budget Spyderco

If you want a decent knife with the Spyderco logo then this is it. Good size edc knife that isn't too heavy. Mine operates smoothly and lock up is solid. The knife carries well and is comfortable to use. Decent value for the money.
Good first Spyderco

If you are reading this then you probably don't already know that most if not all spyderco knives are great. This one is a great starter knife and a good intro to the spyderco brand. Plenty of scales available on the market for customizing.
My first spyderco , wonít be my last

Great EDC folder!

I was very skeptical of Spyderco for a while and I picked a Tenacious up to see if I liked it. I fell in love with it and now I have gotten more into Spyderco knives. I fully recommend this knife for a cheap EDC.

I have nearly a dozen Spydercoís that are in my daily EDC rotation or are in each car and truck I drive. Iím never without one on my hip or in my console tray or in my back packs. Iím a wheelchair user and even have a [Brand X automatic knife] blade in a sheath zip tied to my wheelchair frame for instant access. Friends always know who to ask when they need to open a box or cut a line. Makes me feel confident and secure when I canít carry concealed that I still have protection. Love my Spidercos!!!

-First Spyderco I ever owned.
-Always have one or four in my collection
-Great value for the materials and warranty
-A MUST for every collector/knife lover

If you're unsure about the thumbhole opener, or think it's ugly, just try one of these. You won't be disappointed!
Not tenacious enough
Myk F.
Okay by most people's standards but I have pretty high standards for Spyderco products but this knife has an edge only a plastic butter knife would envy. I could barely get through printer paper with it. Lock up is good, opens smooth enough but this knife I got falls well below the standard Spyderco has set. I payed $45.00 for a knife that has slowly gone up in price but down in quality. If this is any indication of the direction Spyderco is heading than I just bought my last knife from them. Blade HQ is great, the best place to buy knives from thanks guys.
Great budget folder

My knife came with some really inconsistent grinds. The edge was actually on totally different angles on both sides when I received the knife, but it was still pretty sharp. I had to re-profile the blade and it takes and holds the edge really well. The opening is smooth and easy. Has a great detent for the price. I recommend this to anybody looking for a great first knife.
Awesome budget blade!

The knife is awesome for the money, but I did have a few small issues. The edge grid was super inconsistent and the FFG is just a bit... lumpy I guess. If it was a pm2 or something more costly it would have been sent back right away. But for the price point I am satisfied with the knife.

Love BladeHQ!
