This striking fixed blade offers a modernized, scaled-down interpretation of the traditional Filipino ginunting sword. Originally named for its scissor-like Wharncliffe tip, this classic Visayan silhouette is famous for its distinct concave edge, a design that maximizes cutting leverage while naturally aligning the point for precise, powerful thrusting maneuvers.

The knife is built around a full-tang blade made from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel. It features a flat grind that carefully balances a keen edge with structural integrity, while a distinct harpoon-style swedge creates an acute, reinforced point. This formidable blade is matched with an ergonomic handle featuring polished, contoured G-10 scales held fast by eight sets of stainless steel Torx fasteners. Designed for secure, high-speed handling, the grip incorporates a protective integrated lower guard, a flared fantail pommel to prevent slipping, and a large lined lanyard hole. To ensure easy carry, this contemporary take on a cultural classic includes a custom-molded Boltaron sheath complete with a versatile belt attachment.
