I bought this knife to keep at my desk as letter opener because I think the black and red looks cool and it's fun to flick with. The small size means I won't scare anyone with it. Pros: It looks awesome to my eye, the action is as good as anything in the price range, and the scales feel good. The large flipper is easy on my fingers. It's also well constructed: the blade locks with zero play and was maybe 0.5mm off center — only noticeable on close inspection and easy to fix tweak myself. Sharpness was good out of the box, if not mind bending: I could slice thin strips of paper with occasional slight hangs. Not sure how the edge holds up yet. Cons: This is a small knife. I have medium large hands and wouldn't feel good using this knife in any real service capacity. Perfect for a small desk knife though. The flipper definitely protrudes heavily for pocket carry. I love this knife and give it a personal 5 stars, but I can't universally recommend it.
Bought this for my daughter for the small size, and that is exactly the niche this serves. Pros: decent flipper action, compact size, nice texturing pattern on scales, very nice blackwash Cons: came a bit dull, definitely only for small hands, flipper is quite pronounced in the pocket, there are better D2 steel values out there for just $5 more, and some in other easier-to-sharpen and less corrosion-prone steels for less... Overall this is not a bad knife by any means - there are just so many options out there in this budget price range that may give you a better blade / action / ergos. It's a good starter knife for a kid.
