The Strider/Pro-Tech SnG automatic knife collaboration offers everything you love about the Strider SnG folder, coupled with the precision automatic action that Pro-Tech knives are renowned for.
Pro-Tech went to great lengths in an effort to maintain the essential design of the SnG knife and it shows. Like the original, the SnG Auto has a two-piece handle construction with the front side milled from a single block of G-10, while the back side is made from lightweight aluminum. The blade features premium steel and deploys with classic Pro-Tech power for a knife that performs and looks good doing it. And, keeping true to the original, the SnG Auto is outfitted with a Strider titanium pocket clip.
Love this knife, I almost bought it a dozen times prior to this, but there was always another knife that ended up in my cart. Not gonna lie I wanted the tiger stripe camo more, but couldn't justify the difference since this model was on sale. The shark skin part didn't make much sense until I had the knife in hand, the areas that look grey in the photos. Are actually iradesant! This is my first auto that isn't a stilletto , and my first experience with protech, everything is on point, flawless fit and finish, American company with life time warranty, right up there with the best. Plus cheapest sng you can buy new!
I wanted a Strider for a while, however with all the drama associated (and high cost) couldn't bring myself to buying one. In my opinion, this Protech is a far better purchase. Protech quality is outstanding, and having this model as an auto seals the deal. **UPDATE** The clip is basically the same as offered on the Strider knife, . . . and in my opinion it sucks! - Too much of the knife sticks out of the pocket (I can almost deal with this issue) - The clip is w-a-y too short! Coupled with the fact that the knife sticks so far out of pocket, the short clip allows the knife to easily come out of your pocket when not desired. I wish someone made an aftermarket loopover clip.
