Description:
Caleb Musgrave, designer of the D Fly 4.5 fixed blade, is a wilderness skills instructor of the Mississauga Ojibway Nation in Ontario Canada. Caleb has traveled across much of Canada and the eastern United States and has received training from some of Canada??s best survival instructors, including countless Native elders. Caleb has spent three-quarters of his life enveloped in bushcraft. With the D Fly from Tops Knives, Caleb spent 7 years evaluating various fixed blades and noting their pros and cons. The D Fly 4.5 fixed blade is the result of those 7 years. The full tang makes this a tough knife. It's comfortable to hold, and the lack of coating means the ferro rod will throw sparks when you strike the spine near the tip. The D Fly 4.5 is a lighter weight, more nimble knife that is made to be supplemented with an axe and saw for felling trees, while the knife tackles the more precision oriented chores.
