BAMF KNIFE / Sheath has button closures amazing

I bought this knife to open up coconuts in Florida and it more than excels at that task. I have also used this blade to trim palm branches around the pool area. I have also used it to cut down mangos avocados, and oranges that are too high up in the tree by simply securely attaching a pole to the knife by using the holes on the guard. It has become my tropical vacation tool. I have yet to use it fishing and most likely won't. I apply an ample amount of oil since my back yard is the gulf of Mexico. I am very prone to rust here, but no rust yet, TOPS uses one of the best coatings on the blade I've ever seen so rust is not a concern to me since I am always oiling my gear anyways. The best part about the knife in my mind is the button closures on the velcro straps that come with the sheath. As far as I know this is the only knife with a nylon sheath from TOPS that comes with the button closures, the others just have velcro straps. ----IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOLLOWS---- TOPS is the best, They make the best knives in the world hands down. THE BEST. but come on TOPS KNIVES, you need to put buttons closures on all nylon sheaths, This is the United States, the is a high standard here from fine patriots and I love you TOPS, but by making a great nylon sheath and then ruining the whole thing by not having button closures and just velcro, shame on you, represent the United States the best you can and by that I mean add button closures to all nylon sheaths. In conclusion, Ive had the TOPS SXB for about a week and I love it very high quality construction, very sharp, unique blade design that suits my unique needs. and this button closures on the nylon sheath my god I cant say enough about those button closures on the sheath. Thank you for the button closures TOPS, now please add them to the rest of your knives with nylon sheaths. Happy 4th of July God Bless You All

When I saw First Blood and Rambo 2 as a kid, my instant dream knife was to own one of those awesome knives. Ohh the forts I could build, the hogs I could kill, the bullies I could take out... with that knife if I had it. But like every other 80"s boy who was seeking Rambo like adventure, I got ripped off by the cheap mass produced ripoff survival knives... Nothing like Rambo's. The only thing the cheapo knives had in common with the one on the movie was that, just like the 1.5 hour movie, those mass produced knives lasted about that long too, lol! Shortening this story and moving on to this TOPS Knives SXB beast, as an adult and now owning several high end handmade Rambo knives, I'm making up for lost time. And so, when I saw the movie, The Hunted, I really liked the Tracker style knife in the movie. But I love the bigger, longer blade knives, nothing below 8" blade length, except with 2 exceptions which I already own. Anyway, I kept passing up all other tracker knives because of their short blade length. I mean, Let's face it, I just don't like knives with short blades. So, when I learned that TOPS Knives had put out a brand new tracker model knife, and I saw that 1/4" thick, 9.5" long badass blade, I fell for it Immediately!!! Man, What A Knife!!! I really really REALLY had to have that big badass knife! But it was a brand new model, and a TOPS Knives knife at that!!! It arrived just today. And let me say that pics of this knife does it No Justice even though they still make the knife look massive and destructive!! It arrived in a professionally yet simple packaged form, and it's blade was hair shaving razor sharp. I know it was because as a test I shaved one side of my face with it! It did so well that I shaved the other side of my face Too!! LOL I'm just kidding, but I did shave some hair off my arm as a test, and it shaved the hair just fine!! And all I can say is Ooooh! TOPS Knives did it Again!!! I now have the 3 biggest, baddest, and best TOPS Knives Ever...The Condor Alert knife, my recently purchased Anaconda Hunters' Point Knife, the 9.5" Version, and now this one, the SXB Skullcrusher Xtreme Tracker Knife...All 3 Made In The USA By TOPS Knives!!

E.J. Snyder should make some how-to videos...

...for that matter, so should Tops. Just bought my SXB SKULLCRUSHER through Got it lickity-split too, just three days, a week sooner than they originally said. Thanks, BHQ. Now I have both the T-1 Tracker AND the SXB. Bring it on, bring it on. I now know how Luke Skywalker felt when he got his first lightsaber. This thing looks, and feels like it can go toe-to-toe with an Abrams tank—and win! Haven’t used it yet, though. Kinda’ reluctant, it being so pretty and all, but I definitely will. Just wish there were more useful, i.e., practical videos online showing people actually doing constructive work with these tools. Most of the videos I’ve found online, with few exceptions, are the same ol’-same ol’; dudes just whacking away on a piece of wood. C’mon, fellas. Do something, make something. Shelter, a spear, a deadfall trap, something. Between Tops, Tom Brown, Jr., E.J. Snyder and other WSK-style knife makers, you’d think there’d be more videos demonstrating the virtues of wilderness survival-style knives. If nothing else it’s a good marketing strategy—unless they’re worried about liability. Anyway. SXB, great knife, no complaints. Also, the sheath (a sore point for lots of guys), has been improved somewhat. It’s still nylon, but the velcro straps now have buttons whereas earlier versions didn’t. The plastic insert seems sturdier from what I’ve read. I’d still buy a better sheath, this knife’s more than worth it, but meantime, the OEM sheath should last a good while.
