The Scandi Trekker is built for those who want something smaller than the popular Brothers of Bushcraft, but bigger than TOPS Knives' Mini Scandi 2.5. It boasts a tumbled 1095 steel modified scandi grind blade and green canvas Micarta handle scales for prolonged, every day use. You'll find that the scandi grind gives you excellent control while still maintaining a very sharp edge on a wide variety of cutting tasks.
Just got this in today. Love it. Awsome bush craft or edc. Most of all I love the leather sheath. Has that old school bush craft look
This knife is one of the best fix blades I have used. It fits well in your hand. Even if you have large hands. if you stay on top of the rust then you will have a knife that lasts you a long time.
This is the perfect EDC fixed blade for the type of tasks I perform on my Tasmanian ranch. It’s a tool first and foremost; sturdy, tough and comfortable to use. Aside from that, it’s just so damn pretty!
It can stand alone or makes for a good backup. Excellent quality leather sheath. real great buy love this knife
I want to preface this with the fact that I own or have owned several carbon steel knives from manufacturers like Benchmade, Hogue, Becker, Kershaw, and Cold Steel. This is the first TOPS knife I have ever purchased. That said, The good: the blade shape and handle ergonomics are excellent. This is a very handy mid to small knife. The fit and finish of the handle is also excellent. The bad: The grind was off/uneven. This is NOT a true scandi grind. It's more of a mid-height saber with a secondary bevel. It was only semi-sharp out of the bag. The ugly: The whole thing stinks. Even after a careful wipe down and airing out overnight it still smells horrible. I used to work in a metal shop and the knife smells of old oil. I had to bust out the Lava soap to get the smell out of my hands. Conclusion: If it had not been for the smell this knife would have been a 4/5 instead of 3/5 and I would have kept it. As it stands I'm returning it. I'm really sad, as I was looking forward to adding it to my outdoor gear rotation.
