This is a great large knife. It's big and heavy - this should not be a surprise. Handle is excellent and the knife is well balanced. The texturing on the handle gives just enough grip and looks fantastic. This knife performs as well as you could hope.

The steel is great an it keeps an edge more than long enough. I touch mine up with fine stones only occasionally and it's scary sharp all the time.

This is a fairly simple knife when you look at it - not much to go wrong. It's just executed beautifully. The blade flys open and locks up with a "thwack" sound that is incredibly satisfying. Lock is rock solid, no blade play, fantastic action. Hearing and watching the large blade fly open never gets old.

On top of the knife quality the guy at TSF (Jim) is just a great guy with a passion for knives and supporting first responders and military. He's pretty nice to civilians like me too. :)

Lastly, take a look at the clip. It's got the TSF logo on it and is a work of art. I asked TSF if I could get these for my Beast knife and was told "maybe, they're hard to make." The clip works amazingly well on this big knife and is aesthetically my favorite out of any knife I've owned.

A great knife that will easily outlast me and my kids.
