Description:
Hello there, knife community. Boy, do we have something special for you today. Meet the custom Umqua dual-action automatic knife by William Tuch. The mechanism in the knife is a new, patented system that makes closing the knife against the spring essentially inaudible, something no other knife of its kind has achieved. The dual-action mechanism itself works like so: you may open the knife as normal on its ball-bearing pivot, via the elongated thumb hole, or fire the blade automatically with the hidden scale release. Just slide the top of the front scale away from the blade and click! The blade is out. And since we were thinking it, yes, this does mean twice the fidget factor!
As amazing as the action is, the knife itself deserves some praise. Tuch Customs are smooth, ergonomic, attractive knives—and the Umqua is one of his smoothest, most ergonomic, and most attractive yet. The pocket clip sits nicely against your palm without causing any hot spots, and the shaping of the handle facilitates an unbreakable, comfortable grip. The blade is a fierce drop point with a perfect grind and a razor edge. We can't imagine this cutter entering your collection and not rising straight to the top among your favorites.
Each Tuch knife has a custom flare, making it a shining part of any knife collection. We regularly acquire Tuch customs, so stay tuned!
