The Victorinox Cadet features an aluminum handle, large blade, nail file with nail cleaner, can opener with small screwdriver, bottle opener with wire stripper and screwdriver, and key ring. This traditional Cadet also has a small engraving panel on the back side. Comes with the Victorinox lifetime warranty. Perfect for all your everyday small tasks.
This tool is so light and thin that it almost disappears in my coin pocket. I absolutely love carrying it, especially to places where a larger knife may not be accepted. Everyone loves a Swiss Army Knife, and the aluminum scales add a pleasing grip and durability to the cadet.
I have carried this tool for 3 years now. I use it as a back up blade for food prep. The screw drivers come in very handy. I use the nail file to clean my nails after work when the wife and I got out. It so lightweight that I never notice it in my pocket. I have switched knives quite a lot but this Cadet is always in my pocket
The lightweight and slim carry makes it disappear in the pocket. The nail file is the most used tool for me and makes it easy to file down and clean my nails before work in the food service.
In my opinion, this is the perfect first knife. Socially accepted almost everywhere, small, light, and inexpensive. Even if you want to move up to a larger knife, this will continue to serve as a great secondary blade!
These are basically perfect tools. This is THE Swiss Army Knife to own. I have no idea how Victorinox can sell them for about 30 bucks, but I'm sure somebody traded their eternal Swiss soul to make it possible. Everything just works. All the tools, the size, the quality. It isn't scary looking. The Alox scales add durability and class over the plastic ones. Everything conspires to make it the perfect companion. Just buy it. You'll love it, I promise.
Do I really have to explain how excellent this product is? No, just buy one.
I absolutely adore this little slipjoint! It's a fantastic carry size to drop in your pocket with your keys while still offering decent utility in the tools included. Plus the alox scales weather much better and are much slimmer than the usual ABS scales Victorinox uses. You do lose the toothpick and tweezers though.
We all know what a swiss army knife is and what it does. The one thing I want this to have that it doesn't is a scissors. Other than that the fit and finish of the Alox is amazing. It takes this from a "kids" knife to more of something I can see myself using every day as an adult as a second knife. I carry it in a hitch and timber pocket caddy and it's awesome. highly recommend for a second knife.
