Fans of Blade HQ can all relate to the feeling of excitement that immediately follows Ben Petersen greeting you with his iconic "What iiissss up guys!!?!" at the beginning of Knife Banter. Ben is off to new adventures now, and we miss him dearly, but a little piece of him will live on in the knife world with the Banter! Ben teamed up with WE Knife Co. and designed the Banter to meet his exacting specifications; a deep carry pocket clip with recessed screws, a blade that passes his finger test, easy one-hand operation, and a price accessible to a cheap sucker.

Elegant addition to the Banter line

Just received my We Knife Banter in marbled CF and first impressions: Pros: -Aesthetics are incredible, the texture of the CF is done so well considering it was a plan B option for the knife. The stonewash blade and black milled deep carry clip really lend to this as most “murdered out” knives scream “scary” not the case here. -Sharp, lightsaber slicey, as I’ve come to expect with We/CIVIVI. Might not even touch this one up myself. -Ergos are great, jimping in all the right places, and not too aggressive. Simple lines and contours, no hot spots whatsoever. Cons: -A first for me with We/CIVIVI but the blade is extremely off center. Normally I do not care about centering as it does not effect performance and I can fix it. This one is almost touching the front scale and I cannot fix it. Bummer. -Stiff, another first for me with We/CIVIVI but out of the box and after pivot adjustment and some tuf glide it is still pretty stiff. Also, I believe some lock rock in the pivot. May just be a result of the adjustment but I don’t believe so. -Slick, the CF is very very slick. Although I don’t believe it will be a problem given the fantastic ergos of the Banter.
