The ZT 0022 is the smallest knife Zero Tolerance has ever produced and they knocked it out of the park with this impressive Tim Galyean design. This 0022 model is outfitted with a carbon fiber handle with a blue ano titanium pivot collar and a stonewashed 1.8" blade. Meet your latest EDC companion, the 0022 Small Galyean folder from Zero Tolerance Knives.
FeaturesI had to loosen up the pivot just to get it to open. It bit me the first time I deployed it. No doubt: user error! Once I broke it in and learned how to use it, I've come to love this little blade. Not my only 5th Pocket Carry, but it definitely has joined the rotation.
After break in, action is smooth and lockup is great. I got it for 70 bucks and would not have paid 200 for it.
Don't let this little guy turn you away from picking one up as it's a great little big blade to carry. Small but beefy, great grip and excellent blade style. I have a few Full-Size ZT's and this one has nothing to envy them. This is the Great Little Giant to carry and protect/save you when a blade it's needed. Hope yours will make you as happy as mine has done for me, MM
Two things to point out first: • Pivot screw might come loose. If the pivot screw is loose, the blade will snap open weakly or might not open fully without a little wrist action. The good thing is you can tighten it back with your thumb. • The spacer and pivot screw trim on my knife are more of a muted teal than the vibrant blue that I saw on the web page. Other than that, this is a really nice and fun little knife. Really fun to flip it. One of the best knives you can get with a blade length under 2 inches. If you have longer finger nails you might want to at least trim your index finger.
I have several EDC knives I like to carry (Boker, Bench Made, SOG and ZT). My favorites are the ZT knives, 0460 (Sinkavech) and the 0022 (Galyean). They look great, feel great and keep a scalpel edge for a long time. Although some what pricey, they are worth it. The Galyean 0022 had been my favorite for some time now. Have two of them!
Like a tiny replica of a perfect ZT. I love it. I think this is my new "suit" knife. Small, light, but with that perfect flip. Big difference from the 0456 I carried for most of last week :)
Its like having a sixth finger.
Great action, sweet S20V steel, no blade play, and perfectly centered. Love the dual design too, with one side cf and the other titanium everyone should be happy with this knife, and it's smaller then my lil native!
This great little knife needs a nice little review. Lets start first by saying this thing has perfect action. It flies out fast and has a solid lockup. Its one of the best flippers I have. It's awesome that a small knife can have great action. The blade won't fall shut on its own obviously because it is a small blade. It fits well in the hand, albeit it is a small knife of course. It fits very well and has a solid grip to it, it isn't going anywhere. I know people complain of price and I get it. Its not a cheap knife. When you feel it and own it you see why it isn't cheap. It has a great quality and awesome materials. The innovation of having to scale all of ZT's production down like bearings and inserts to fit in a smaller package and still has the same quality. The materials and finish are awesome. Knife prices as a whole are getting a little pricey. I won't give examples, just take a quick online search and see. But this knife meets the quality that I expect from ZT and has a great fit and finish. Definitely a win if you feel your other knives are too big for certain occasions.
I picked up one of these last weekend. It flips beautifully, which is unusual for a knife of this diminutive size. It's the perfect carry knife that won't scare snowflakes.
Perfect fifth pocket and or bottom of your pocket knife well done ZT
I’m gonna get this one too...
I have very few complains about this little guy (aside from the CONSTANT Crocodile Dundee "You call that a knife?!" comments). It's tiny, it's sharp, it's useful, it's classy. It opens fast, has a wicked slicing curve and a point that'll get done what you need to get done. My only complaint really would be that in my big giant meat hands, the detent is so stiff that I almost feel like I'm going to lose control of it when I open it. I've still been carrying it 4 days out of 5 since I got it...
I got both this and a 0452CF at the same time. Both required about a day or so wear in period. I had an issue with the frame lock not engaging enough to lock the blade, but after some adjustments and wear in it will lock up as well as a full size knife. Once it is open it fits in the hand in the first 2 fingers very well. My only complaint is that with my fat hands I have cut myself 2 times from the tip of the knife flicking out into the meat of my hand under the thumb. That is to be expected with such a unique form factor.
Just got mine. Looks great. ZT makes an excellent product. Opens perfect and feels tight. Just a little to0 hard to hold comfortable in medium to large hand. Will use and modify review as needed.
The 3 stars are for the knife itself, which I don't own by the way, so take that with a grain of salt but the reason I don't own it is because that price seems about 50-60 dollars to high. If it was around 130 or 140 I would feel more comfortable but I am happy to see smaller knives make there way into ZT's lineup. Frankly I'm glad to see smaller high end knives in general starting to be released. If your looking for a sub 2 inch higher end flipper (titanium frame lock-etc),I would check out the bestech reticulan, it has great fit and finish, a great action, premium materials and its $111, which still feels a little pricey but doesn't feel unjustified. I love mine thx BHQ
The price is plummeting fast on this knife because of the quality. The action on the blade is very chintzy and the blade play is worse than a walmart knife. Blade HQ will not honor a full refund and you will be stuck with shipping costs. Stay away from this over-priced novelty item.
