Zero Tolerance and Rick Hinderer have teamed up to build the 0562 flipper. This knife features a special Hinderer flat-ground "slicer" blade that provides both slicing efficiency and a tough point, and is complemented by premium stainless steel. The knife opens with a flipper and pivots on the smooth KVT ball-bearing opening system. Handle construction is comprised of a black G-10 scale over stainless steel liner along with a titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar inserts and lockbar stabilization. Includes a unique pocket clip that is reversible and enables extra-deep carry.

Best ZT
Giulio R.
One of the best EDC or working knives ever produced by ZT.
Great ergo (even though the flipper tab has a little hot spot), great blade and materials, very cool looking and the deep carry clip is perfect. No lanyard hole, unfortunately, but still I'm in love with this knife.
Like butta!!!!

The action on this knife is incredible. G-10 is grippy but not so grippy it wonít slide in and out of your pocket. So nice, I almost donít want to use it.
My first ZT...

Ok guys as the title says this is my first ZT. I was first introduced to this amazing knife company a few weeks back when a buddy from work showed me a ZT 200 he had. He explained it was one of the original models etc. So I had been looking to find quality blades but had kinda put things on the back burner because life happens. Soon after he let me see the 200 I started reviewing ZT as a company. What's not to like?? Very well built products in the USA? I'm in. After hours of research and reviews I decided on this particular model, and I'm so very very glad I did. When I first pulled it out of the box and unwrapped it, I was in complete awe of the quality of it, videos and pictures do it no justice imo. Detent is perfect, breaking in the blade had been wonderful. Buttery smooth action, razor sharp right out of the box. Major kudos to Mr. Hinderer and ZT on this collaboration. I'm hooked, the collection of these super fine products has begun, better get on some overtime lol. Pick one up, I highly doubt you'll regret it.
Hefty well built flipper

This knife is large and well built. Smooth action and solid lock up - can handle anything you throw its way. Also fits very nice in the pocket, which surprised me based on its size.
Fantastic all around knife!

EDC or tactical, you can't go wrong with this knife! I purchased just recently 01/2018 and received the Elmax version which I am ecstatic about, being that they have started only making this model on S35VN! Built strong and incredibly functional!
its good to see nothings changed

i had stepped away from the zt brand for many years after having owned a 0350 and 0561, those knives were overbuilt, comfortable, and could withstand routinely heavy cutting tasks. Thankfully the 0562 is no different, the ergos are stellar, the blade shape is versatile and the build quality leaves no doubts in your mind that it can handle any task. good job zt, and good job blade hq for always shipping fast and having great customer service.

p.s. the flipping action is one of the best on a production knife IMHO
Great Bulky Tank of a Knife

Note to all: THESE KNIVES ARE NOW PRODUCED WITH S35VN STEEL. Not Elmax. Today is April 18, 2017. I don't know when the change was, but both the 0562 and 0562CF have changed their blade steels to S35VN and CPM20CV, respectively.

Otherwise, this knife is built really well. The G-10 scale handle side is grippy and feels cool, and the titanium/frame lock side is absolutely rock solid. But of course the coolest thing of all is that Hinderer Slicer grind. Absolutely beautiful to look at and rrrrrazor sharp out of the box.

Also, BladeHQ is the best. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and got it by Monday. 10/10
Excellent Service

The knife is great, well built, the ball bearings are awesome and the stonewash finish is better than expectations. I ordered this knife on a Thursday before Labor Day weekend, BladeHQ sent it in express overnight packaging free of charge, just so it wouldn't take super long because of Labor Day weekend.

Everything about this knife is awesome except I found it a little big/ bulky for my EDC. But I still have it in my rotation because it is beautiful and built like a tank. Awesome construction and smooth action with KVT.
Amazing bang for the buck

This knife is incredible. It's my first knife by Zero Tolerance, and I was impressed. No matter how you hold it, it feels AMAZING. No hot spots, etc. It doesn't want to roll in your hand. No blade play, the KVT bearing system is smooth and snappy. It has solid lockup, but no lock stick, and the lockbar isn't difficult to engage. Minimalistic but effective jimping. The g10 is grippy, but not at all ergonomic. They fixed their issues with elmax steel. There are really only two cons to this knife. The first is deployment. Your fingers can't even touch the lockbar if you want it to open. And even then, most people can't open the knife. If you hand your knife to a friend, he won't be able to open it. Now, provided this isn't a big deal for me. And I appreciate the unique feeling of the hard detent when deploying the knife. But I can see it being irritating and even painful during the break-in process. The second drawback is maintenance. I took this knife to work, and it got dirty to the point of needing disassembly. The first pivot screw came out after a lot of turning. I couldn't get the second one out though. It spun and spun but nothing happened. Now I am inexperienced so it may have been user error. But there is another more straightforward maintenance issue. The screws holding the standoffs in are absolutely immovable. I will eventually just send the knife back to ZT to have it fixed. But if you keep your knife clean :), and you're with me on the "controversial detente", then buy the dang knife. It's incredible.
EDC tank with buttery action
Eric N.
Hands-down the best EDC knife I own. Granted, my collection is still growing but the 0562 shot straight to the top shortly after I opened the box and began getting a feel for it. Some knives I currently own that I used for comparison are a Quartermaster Mr. Spicoli, Guardian Tactical Helix, Reate District 9A, Reate Hills, and a Kevin John Venom 2 (or the Daboia if you bought one from FRWK). The 0562 feels superior to all of them in almost every way. I love the deep carry pocket clip. The build quality and ergonomics make it feel like a tank that fits your hand like a glove. The action is buttery smooth and the only knife that I own that I would say is smoother is the Venom 2, which has ceramic bearings and detent. The only gripe I can come up with is that the dual-thumbstuds only exist as bladestops. I enjoy using thumbstuds almost as much as a flipper, which is part of the reason why I love my District 9A so much, so it's a bit of a bummer that they are so recessed on the 0562. All things considered, though, that's simply a small complaint that essentially boils down to personal preference.

I am some what of a knife buff and I must say this knife is like a finely tuned watch. The knife came razor sharp and the build of the knife seems extremely sturdy. The one thing that was a little worrisome is that the blade indent was a little sticky at first but after playing with it by flipping it open a few hundred times, I can proudly say that is smoothing out more and more. If you are on the fence on buying this knife I would advise you to jump on it, I believe you will not regret it! I can also say that BladeHq got my order out to me very fast.
Perfect size
Sergio L.
I found that this is the perfect size for EDC. The deep carry clip makes it almost invisible. Better than the carbon fiber model because the stonewashing on this one hides all scratches and the G10 makes it great for a non slip work blade.
Love it

This has kicked my spydercos and benchmades out of my pocket. If you think the 0566 is a bit too small and the 0560 is too bulky this is the knife for you. KVT action is awesome. Best ZT Hinderer yet!
