I almost had, buyers regret with this blade, granted i did not get it from Blade-HQ but i must tell you to not hesitate to buy it from them. They obviously have it cheaper here. With that being said; The steel-Hair Popping sharp on arrival. The Handle is solid and beautiful. The lock-No Rocking Super Solid, no blade play at all. The Aesthetics were on point, on every level, and my favorite part; the blade looks like a bird beak.
Really great EDC knife. All of the fit and finish you would expect from ZT plus it's very light and thin. Definitely would recommend.
Razor sharp and light to carry, perfect for suit or any other type of cloths that you need a light carry. Fast open and thin profile. BHQ shipped fast, well packaged and hassle free!
A sleek yet capable knife. The Speedsafe assist may be a turn off for some, but it doesn't bug me at all and is very reliable. The ergos are great, and I love the blade shape. This one is a winner.
I have been looking at this knife for awhile now. My wife bought it for me and it is all you would expect of it. It has a thin profile and fits great in the hand and in the pocket. With the carbon fiber handles it is very light. I have quite a few automatic knives and have not been too interested in assisted openers but this one really opens fast and hard with a cool snap sound.
This was the first knife that I ever actually bought at Blade HQ and I don't regret a penny of my purchase! It has the best ergonomics I've ever had, my favorite is the area right after the jimping to rest my thumb and you can get really precise control while still getting a grip of the full handle. The only thing I don't like about it is the speed safe, but the torsion bar is easy to remove, and still gives you butter smooth action. Overall, one of the best knives in my collection.
I thought I would regret getting this knife. Not a huge ZT fan, but I was surprised with the knife. It is thin and it very lightweight. The carbon fiber looks real nice on the handles. I am taking to the shape of the blade itself. Like a spear point blade just turned upside down. Cuts clean and is very sharp. The only ding I would give this is the pocket clip. Tiny and short. Good for a gentleman's folder
The fit and finish of this knife is stellar. Blade lockup and centering is rock-solid and dead-center. Lightweight and thin makes this phenomenal to carry. The carbon fiber handles are unique and look great, and is very comfortable in the hand. The shape of the blade is also extremely functional. Bottom line, this is a great knife.
This knife is perfect for formal attire and personal protection. The small black pocket clip with deep carry and light weight makes this perfect for carry with a suit and tie. Or jeans and a date night. It's another beautiful well made American knife from ZT. If you're looking for practical EDC, would consider the following: The carbon fiber looks pretty, but provides zero friction. The flipper is short and has a bit too much detent on mine for my taste. All in all, nice addition to the collection for formal dress :)
This is a great knife. Really lightweight and looks great. Opens quickly and blade and handles look good. My only complaints would be that the pocket clip is a little small but it is deep pocket carry and the knife isn't that big so its not a big deal. Also the flipper is a little small but it has jimping on it which makes up for it being small.
Love this knife. It is my edc
You snap this rather odd-looking-blade BadBoy open and anybody within a couple of feet goes: "Whoa! That's a Knife!". Also like Crockodile Dundee, on a much smaller scale. It's really 'just the right size' for being a BadBoy EDC. I have several other 3"Blade /4"Handle /Under 3oz. /GoodSteel EDC's that I usually prefer to carry because they are a 'quarter-of-an-inch' & 'half-an-ounce' smaller. It IS a Good Light-Weight but solid-size (sharp!) EDC.
This knife if awesome. It’s super lightweight and deploys super fast. If your thinking about getting this knife, just go ahead and buy it. You won’t regret it.
I own over a hundred knives but this one rides my pocket 99% of the time. I have the Elmax blade version and this stuff doesn't know how to get dull, and when it needs touched up it is quick and easy. Buy one to carry and one for the safe because when they discontinue it you will regret not having one.
I wanted to LOVE this knife, considering it's the most expensive knife I've ever purchased. However, it fell short in two areas: 1) it was not very sharp. It surprised me that this knife came less sharp than any knife I've ever purchased, including all the MUCH cheaper Kershaws, Ontario, etc. That can be relatively easily remedied though. 2) it is EXTREMELY hard to flip open. I tried loosening the pivot screw a lot but nothing helps. It takes about 3x as much force to open as any of my Kershaws. All that said, the carbon fiber handles are incredible, as is the blade shape and function. I also love that it comes with a deep carry clip. All in all, it's still a keeper.
The one I have is in Elmax steel. Overall it's a really good light weight assisted flipper. If you don't like assists I would pass. If you do, then go for it you won't regret it.
