Official Statement
At SHOT Show 2025, Magpul announced the Breslau—an ambitious project built around Metal Injection Molded blade technology, aimed at delivering a unique, high-quality knife at an accessible price point. It was a release both Magpul and Blade HQ were genuinely excited about, and the early response from the community reflected that enthusiasm.
Over the months that followed, Magpul invested significant time, effort, and resources into turning that vision into reality. Unfortunately, despite that work, the Breslau hasn’t reached the standard that either Magpul or Blade HQ felt was appropriate to put in customers’ hands.
Tooling and production refinements created repeated delays, and it became increasingly clear that an honest delivery timeline could not be promised.
Rather than continue asking for patience while those challenges remained unresolved—or ship a product that wasn’t ready—Magpul and Blade HQ jointly decided to go back to the drawing board.
The easy path would have been to ship the knife as it was, but both companies agreed that protecting customer trust was more important.
Is the Magpul Breslau Canceled Forever?
This is not the end of the relationship between Magpul and Blade HQ. Both companies remain committed to working together on future knife releases that genuinely represent what each brand stands for. Customers who had a Breslau preorder will be among the first to hear about what comes next.
To everyone who preordered, shared the announcement, or simply followed along—thank you. We are sorry the Breslau did not come together the way any of us hoped at this time. We believe this decision was the right one, and we look forward to earning your confidence again with whatever comes next.
