I love the blade shape, ergos, and action on this knife. You cant get a better slim sheeps foot knife
I shared the (largely justified: QC, steel flaws, design knockoffs, etc.) stereotypical view of Chinese-produced knives. My case filled with Microtech, Hinderer, Spyderco, ZT, Benchmade, Shun, Global, Takeda, etc. I took a small leap with the Kizer Sheepfoot. Very nice, I thought, ‘they can make a solid blade’. But this damned Arcform, has been tempting me for months; am I really gonna spend $350 on a China-run? After a bit too much saké I thought, ‘Okay, here we go’. This Thing Is Stunning. Simply, flipping, stunning. Design, build, grind, hardware, hell even the packaging. Folks, this knife is a wakeup call to the US, GRM, JP midtech and dare I say, even custom producers. This blade will be a great EDC, and IMHO, a must for collectors.
This is the first "mid tech" that I've purchased and actually felt like it was worth more than what I paid. Fit and finish are spot on. This thing flips open with authority, no matter what position it's in. Great detent, great grinds, falls shut and NO proprietary hardware. I can't wait to see what Arcform comes out with next. I'm sure I'll be a buyer!
ArcForm nailed it with their first offering. Geoff makes some great designs & they couldn't of picked a better one to use. And the execution is perfect. The carbon fiber adds a nice touch of class to this workhorse of a folder. The fit & finish is impeccable. The detent & action is great. Also, in my opinion it's a really good price for what you're getting. You will not be disappointed.
This knife is without a doubt, in my opinion, perfect. This is the sharpest knife I've ever owned right when I got it in the mail. The design is awesome, and everything is so smooth. I read on Reddit that the action was subpar but I have to disagree 100% with that. If you're thinking the knife isn't quite worth $350.00, then stop thinking, because it's definitely worth that and then some. It's so clean I almost don't want to carry it and risk scratching it up, but this will for sure stay in my EDC rotation for a while!
Super tight, fits great in your hand, came razor sharp. The action is super smooth but firm. Most notable is how sturdy the entire setup feels. Very high quality
Several years experience buying/selling/collecting folders in all price ranges. Truly functional gentleman's folder that can hang with the rest in terms of use. This is the level of knife that knifers deserve at this price point. Arcform has brought the brilliance of Geoff Blauvelt's design prowess to us in well executed production model.
It seems like a newcomer to the crowded field of hi end productions (actually a midtech quality). But the designer is a classic and the manufacturer Reate is a yardstick of high quality productions and midtechs. So it was not unexpected that the knife feels and performs as an extension of your hand. Smooth action. Addictive heft. Beautiful and functional design. Attention to detail. A must have. What more would I want in this knife? May be a hidden, internal stop pin.
I found the aesthetics of this knife interesting and different and liked the material choices through out. I took a chance and ordered it, in part influenced by the excellent reviews. Upon receiving the knife I have to say that I am very impressed. The fit and finish is as good or better than other high quality mid-techs and the action is both smooth and fast. The blade locks up at about 35%, is perfectly centered and has no wiggle in any direction. The grinds are very well done and the seams in the handle are close to perfect. Overall, I couldn't be happier. Arcform really impressed with this one. I can't wait to see what they come out with next!
I'll never be able to afford the real thing, but I can't it would be any better than this. Everything about it is perfect.
The market for titanium framelock flippers is crowded with makers and companies vying for your dollar, without offering much to differentiate themselves. I can count on one hand the number of them that have impressed me to the point that I recommend them, and this Slimfoot by Arcform is one of those. Some of the best action I've ever seen, along with a killer blade and sleek lines - get one and see for yourself.
This has to be hands down the nicest midtech I've owned. Incredible fit and finish rock solid lock up buttery smooth action. An all around home run.
This Slimfoot did not dissapoint. Fit and finish are better than expected. All the edges have been deburred or chamfered as one would expect. Flips great and has that fall shut smoothness. Also very sharp so watch your thumbs...lol. If you are on the fence just get one and see for yourself.
