This Incognito model sports a bead blasted stainless steel handle and a satin finished blade.
Bear Ops has taken the automatic knife world by storm with their line of compact EDC automatic knives. The Incognito is a laud-worthy design from knifemaker Steve Jernigan. It offers a tough stainless steel build, with a stylish milled texture on the handle and firing button. A 14C28N Sandvick steel blade provides a flat ground cutting edge with extreme corrosion resistance. It has a recessed firing button that prevents pocket misfires and stays out of the way during use. A stainless steel pocket clip is included for tip-down deep pocket carry.
Features:
This is just what I was looking for - a sleek, elegant, quality knife that does not take up too much room my pocket. The clip is not as bad as some people have said. It’s deep and minimal, barely visible. I had planned to take the clip off anyway. The knife is perfect for EDC in the office. The button is minimal but knurled, the trick is to use your thumbnail. The blade locks perfectly and the size is just right.
As great gentleman's knife. Super snappy which can turn a head, but once out looks really sleak. Great size for the office and super-deep carry pocket clip. The clip is vicious though as it is sharp and will scratch whatever it rubs against.
An excellent milled stainless handle, very smooth and positive action with minimal recoil, perfect blade for the handle size - just the ideal small auto pocket knife with one caveat: The pocket clip is so strongly attached and the contact point with the handle so narrow that it's very difficult to pocket with one hand without tearing at the edge of the pocket.
The knife really pops out quickly and easily. Had it pop out in my pocket several times because the button is not recessed nor does it have a lock. The worse part of the knife is the clip in my opinion. The steel I am not very familiar with. It seems to hold its edge quite well. However, I don't think it's one of the strongest steels. I left mine in my pocket and it went through the laundry. The washing machine bent the tip slightly. Overall I really want to like the knife but I know you can find better out there for the same or even lower price.
Knew it was a mistake when I got it out of the box. The operation is weird - you have to hold it with the tips of your fingers to open it or your hand will interfere with the blade opening. Basically a poor design. The clip is bogus as it snags nearly ripping the fabric as you pull it out of your pocket. Don’t waste your money...find a better choice.
